FIRST AID AT WORK TRAINING (NEW STAFF)
DAY 1
Scene assessment; Primary survey and unconscious casualty; CPR (including AED); Choking; Shock; Wound and bleeding; Seizures.
DAY 2
Secondary survey; Respiratory system and hypoxia; Anaphylaxis; Asthma and hyperventilation; Drowning; Chest injuries; Circulatory system; Heart problems; Skeletal system; Fractures and soft tissue injuries; Head, neck and back injuries; Burns and electrical injuries.
DAY 3
Stroke; Diabetes; Hot and cold injuries; Poisoning; First and equipment and reporting; Knowledge assessment.

Who is the course aimed at?
This course can be done in house or we offer the blended learning course which is 2 days in house and on day online learning.
Our First Aid at Work program is suitable for any business that has identified through their risk assessment the need for a fully trained first aider within their workplace. All our first aid courses are delivered, evaluated and quality assured to meet HSE requirements.
This course must be a minimum of 18 contact hours and runs over three days. The certificate lasts for 3 years. Current certificate holders can attend 12 contact hours (2 days) to renew their certificate.
To reduce travel and training costs we also offer the FAW as a blended learning program. This course involves 12 contact hours and 6 hours of online learning.
